Accommodation
Long Furrows has 13 bedrooms; mostly single rooms (12 rooms), most with en-suite
facilities (12 rooms), and 1 twin bedded room for those residents who prefer to
share. Two bedrooms are on the ground floor, whilst the other bedrooms are upstairs
and are accessible by a lift.
There are two separate bathrooms, one on the ground floor featuring an Arjo-Mecanaids
‘Hi-Lo’ bath and one upstairs, plus a shower room upstairs. All bedrooms, WC’s and
bathrooms are equipped with a fail safe personal alarm and call bell system. The
home accommodates the needs of wheelchair users access.
Social Rooms
There are two lounges; a conservatory and a separate dining room, all centrally
heated. Residents are encouraged to use these communal rooms; however, those who
choose to spend time in their own rooms may do so. Smoking is not permitted within
the home, there being a separate area set aside for this purpose should it be necessary.
Additionally there is a fully equipped multi-sensory stimulation room and a computer
room.
Outside of the home are extensive grounds comprising two acres of gardens, which
are laid with carefully tended lawns and surrounded by shrubberies, conifers and
fruit trees.
